Professional Unpacking Service: What Actually Happens on Move-In Day

Most people imagine moving day ends when the removal van drives away. In reality, that is often when the hardest part begins: a house full of boxes, nothing to eat off, and no idea which box has the kettle in it.

A professional unpacking service picks up exactly where the removal team leaves off. Here is what that day looks like.

Before the day

We talk through how you want the new house to work. Which cupboard will be the everyday crockery? Where do school bags and coats go? What matters most to have ready by bedtime? A little planning means every box has a destination before it is opened.

The kitchen comes first

A working kitchen makes a new house feel like home faster than anything else. We unpack, wipe down and arrange cupboards around how you cook, so the kettle, mugs and everyday plates are exactly where you reach for them.

Bedrooms and beds

Nobody wants to hunt for bedding at ten o'clock at night. We make the beds, hang clothes and set up wardrobes and drawers so everyone can get dressed easily the next morning.

Bathrooms, utility and the essentials

Towels, toiletries, cleaning products and laundry are all given a sensible home so daily routines can carry on without a search party.

Boxes and packing gone

We flatten and remove the packing materials as we go, so you are not living among cardboard for weeks. Walking into a clear room at the end of the day is a wonderful feeling.

Systems, not just unpacking

The difference between unpacking and professional organising is that everything is placed with thought. Categories are kept together, frequently used things are within reach and children can find their own belongings. The house starts as it means to go on.

You do not have to be there all day

Some clients work alongside us and others leave us to it and come back to a finished home. Either is completely fine.
