Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains, in plain English, what information I collect when you use the Sort and Order website or get in touch, why I collect it, and how I keep it safe.

This website is run by Helen Dear, trading as Sort and Order, a professional home organiser based in Tring, Hertfordshire. You can contact me on 07488 600127 or at helen@sortandorder.co.uk.

1. What information I collect

When you contact me or book a call:

• your name, email address and phone number
• anything you choose to tell me about your home, family or situation in the contact form, by email, on the phone or on WhatsApp
• how you heard about Sort and Order, if you choose to share it

When you book a free call through my online calendar, Google collects the details you enter (such as your name and email) so the appointment can be arranged. Google's own privacy policy applies to that service.

When you browse this website, basic anonymous information is collected about which pages are visited and roughly where visits come from (for example, whether you arrived from Google or Instagram). This helps me understand what people find useful. It does not identify you personally.

2. How I use your information

I use your information to:

• reply to your enquiry and arrange your free call or sessions
• plan and carry out your organising, space planning or virtual sessions
• send invoices and keep basic records for my accounts and tax
• occasionally follow up after a session to check everything is working for you

I will never sell your information, and I will never share it with other businesses for their marketing.

3. Photos and client stories

Before-and-after photos and client stories are only ever taken or shared with your explicit permission. You can change your mind at any time and ask me to remove them.

4. Who I share it with

I only share your information where it is needed to run my business or where the law requires it, for example:

• Google (calendar bookings and email)
• WhatsApp (if you choose to message me there)
• Amazon (if you follow a link to my Amazon shop — some links are affiliate links, and Amazon's own privacy policy applies)
• my accountant or HMRC, where required for tax records

5. How long I keep it

I keep enquiry details for as long as we are working together and for a reasonable time afterwards, in case you come back for more help. Financial records (such as invoices) are kept for the period required by UK tax law. You can ask me to delete your information at any time (see below).

6. Cookies

This website uses only the basic cookies needed to make it work and to count visits anonymously. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information I hold about you
• ask me to correct anything that is wrong
• ask me to delete your information
• object to how I use it

8. Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The version on this page is the one that applies when you use the site.
